Houston-Gandy Engagements

I took these photos at the beginning of this month. The home this was taken at was so beautiful. I have taken photos there before but I had forgotten just how pretty it was. I found that I ended up taking photos in completely different spots this time. Funny how the eye can see completely different the second time around! Virginia is a sweet girl who goes to church with me. I had never met her fiance Jacob but he was so nice! They are such a sweet couple and I could tell they are very much in love. I'm looking forward to shooting their wedding next weekend. Virginia is going to be such a beautiful bride! Here are a few from the shoot...

Laken and Keller are doing great for the moment. I'm fixing to go pick them up and head to the Fall Festival at our church. It's decorated in a Candyland Theme and is just the cutest thing I've ever seen. Laken was Captain Rex from Star Wars and Keller was Batman this year. Pics will follow soon. Keller will have surgery next week to remove his current tubes in his ears, patch the hole in one tube where the tube was and replace the tubes in a different spot. Hopefully this will cure my sweet boy of ear infections! I know they hurt! Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone has a safe holiday and that you get lots of "Treats"!

My Katie Bug

This little girl holds a very special place in my heart and so does her mommy. When I was pregnant with Laken, and having trouble near the end, we became close friends through our labor and deliveries and then we learned together as we began life as mothers and got even closer. Katie was born just three days after Laken.

With our second pregnancies we found comfort in each other and our "high risk pregnancies" again. Keller was born just a couple of weeks before her baby boy Spence.

I have been so blessed to call this sweet girl not only my friend, but one of my very best friends. She has been there for me through so much, the smiles and the tears, and I love her dearly! She is truly one of the most genuine people I have ever met.

I did Katie's hair and makeup for her dance recital this year, and then snapped a few pics afterwards. She was so cute the whole time. She was the perfect little customer! :) I had no trouble putting her makeup on and if I do say so myself, I thought she looked pretty darn adorable!

My Bestie's Business

One of my best friends, Brittany is doing a giveaway this week. You can check out her blog here: http://www.napperdesigns.blogspot.com/

Brittany designs all different kinds of things including calling cards, invitations and more. She did some calling cards for me not long ago. I love how you can use them for gifts. They are such a cute way of personalizing and we all know I LOVE personalizing.

Here are two examples of the cards she made for me:

Falling Behind

So, I've managed to fall behind here lately on pics. I've been so busy with work and Trent has been working on the levee, so I've had the kids most evenings by myself. Therefore, I haven't gotten many chances to edit.

The photos below are of sweet Tenley. She is the daughter of my next door neighbor from Jonesville and one of my sorority sisters from college. She has the most beautiful blue eyes!

I have several more posts coming as Trent finished working on the levee yesterday and Laken's last t-ball game is Friday. Today also happen's to be my 8th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Trent Bradley! I Love You!

The Napper Family

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of photographing the Napper Family. Brittany is the 4-H agent in Ouachita Parish and a very dear friend of mine. We were pregnant together and her little girl Emory and my baby Keller are only weeks apart!

I absolutely love seeing this prissy little girl. She is SO incredibly smart and just adorable. She takes after her mommy a good bit I think! :) She keeps me running but has endless expressions on her face that I love to try and capture.

We had fun trying out this new spot in Archibald. I think it used to be an old bank. The lighting inside was wonderful and the red brick and green grass made for a great spring back drop.

The Napper's live in Ruston and are such a sweet family. I hope I'll be able to keep photographing Em through the years!

And just for you Britt, a BETTER picture! :)

My 1st Maternity Shoot

I had my very 1st maternity shoot about a week ago and I enjoyed it so much. Have you ever walked away from a shoot and just felt great about it? I'm not gonna lie, I was terrified at first. I mean anytime I shoot a family I get nervous, because it's so much harder than one or two people. So I had mom and dad and their four kiddos to shoot. But... I had no need to be nervous. Those children were perfect! Talk about make my job easy! I ended up having a great time and getting some great shots as well!

Gina is my hairdresser and sweet friend. I am so excited for her to welcome this new little one into the world. They don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet and are waiting to find out. My guess is....a GIRL! We shall see.

Hello Blogging World!

I've been reading blogs for a long time now, but never seemed to have the time to start one myself. I actually started the blog several months ago, but never made 1 post!

Sooo, I'm going to give it a try! The blog will mainly be for sharing photographs of the sweet family's I photograph, but since it's winter...I haven't been shooting much lately. So I'm going to start with my week.

Monday I didn't have to go into work until ten due to the weather which= much excitement! I dropped the boy's off at the sitter's then went on in. I went to Monroe to meet Brittany, the Ouachita 4-H Agent, so that we could purchase decorations for Ag Expo Friday night. We had lunch at O'Charlies then set out to purchase deco at Hobby Lobby. We decided on a Mardi Gras theme for Freeze Modeling that was super cute.

After that, we went to Ruston to set up an account at the bank for work. We finished up and I started heading back toward's home. I needed to stop in Monroe to pick up a few things. About halfway between Ruston and Monroe my radio started shutting on and off, then my lights, then my gas gauge, then my speedometer, then my window, then my windshield wipers...keep in mind this is the day all the school's were out for the WEATHER. It was starting to rain and NOTHING in my car worked. I could only drive it. It was also getting very close to dark and I didn't think I would get very far with no lights. Sooo, being the smart person that I am, I made it to the mall and pulled over there, so that I could shop and eat if I was going to be there awhile. This was at 5:15.

Trent happened to be an hour into the woods, so it took him 2 hours to get there. I managed to open my hood and beat on my battery cables with a crowbar for about 15 minutes, but ofcourse that wasn't the case. It was freezing, I was all alone, and not one person was nice enough to stop. The security guard must have passed me atleast 10 times, and not once did he ask if I needed help. So much for people helping other people out.

Trent finally made it and three hours later, $237 less, I had a new alternator and a working car. So I made it home around 11 pm. Good times. :)

I'll finish with a pic of me and Brittany from Ag Expo last night.
